Hello Everyone
I’m new on here and we have recently purchased a Martin Walter’s 1969 Bedford CA Dormobile.
Could anyone here tell me what the correct colour green my camper was originally for that year please?
It has been hand painted inside and out previously to coming to us and we will eventually want to re-spray.
Thank you
Hi there,

Hi ,
I am writing you from Ankara / Turkiye .
I have a 1962 Model Bedford Ca . ( U may see it in my youtube channel , if you wish :
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy6UsKzxRCjPa98t_2iOn5Q )
Her name is Miss Beddy and she is almost done but when we had gone to inspection station , we have seen that on the license there is no information about maximum loaded weight .
For the inspection station, this is a major fault and , inspection disaprroved.
My question is , where can i get the offical information of maximum loaded weight of Bedford Ca 1962 Model ?
If i give the vehicle identification number (VIN) can i get an official information ?
If yes , from where ? The VIN is CALV227165
Thanks in advance ,
Metin OZDERIN
Maximum Loaded Gross weight shown in the handbook is 3,700 lb ( 1678 kg ) allowing for 140 lb for the driver.
I hope this helps, Allan Horne. Secretary, Dormobile Owners’ Club.
Hi, my name is Stephen, I am currently selling a super rare wee Dormobile ,new world ,Toyota HiAce camper van, it is a 1975 , I have auctioned it on e bay with quite a bit of info , I believe it to be one of only a few left in existence as quoted on this website , I can only find two photos of one of these vans on the very big interweb, the van will have 1 years full mot and is ready to go , very solid , cute wee van , surprisingly roomy inside, a great talking point at a dormobile meeting ,as there will not be another one there. price to be decided at the auction, after just discovering this site , if it does not meet my reserve , I may just join the club and enjoy it for a year or so , if this wee van is looked after , I will last another 40 odd years , thank you for your interest
i have bought a bedford ca dormobile 1960 im after the seats and indicator switch
Message to ‘ukcadillac’ regarding my parts for a Bedford Dormobile – yes I do still have these parts available – for some reason I am unable to open the ‘spare & accessories’ link above – hence this message.
I can be contacted at lee dot rider at enfield dot gov dot uk
Many thanks.
Hello my name is ash and I own a mk1 transit freeway 1973 which I have just restored to its original condition.I have a desperate problem trying to find a brake servo that would suit this model, the original servo was thrown away by my local mechanic while he fitted a larger one which does not suit this vehicle. The original servo was about 7inches in diameter so if anyone can help I would be very gratefull. I am also a classic motorcycle restorer and own some nice classic machines if anyone is interested.
