MichelJanuary 17, 2012 at 8:04 pm #4604Desolé Michel – j’étais loin quelques jours!
Mr Jones –
Manu – Sank ewe ferry mootch four beautifoool traduction – but mour Spaneesh kow san Swees, no?
January 18, 2012 at 9:03 am #4605To MrJones and Ant,
Thank you for your congratulations! I just wait for an answer of the British side to make a litteral translation to Michel ‘and so on, just to see…Another thing,
I follow this thread from the beginning and I let you organize this 😀
However, I wonder if “the british side” would consider to make the meeting the 23, 24 june in the east of France in Burgundy??? (MichelJ and MrJones are yet invited) (I’m conscious that’s more and more miles for you 😉 )
MichelJ,
❓January 18, 2012 at 7:16 pm #4606OK – Official Swiss Translation

“Yes, I’ll do my utmost to attend, and also to celebrate my election as President of “Le Temps de Series” in a manner worthy of the occasion”manu21 – I think the problem for the British contingent will be the school holidays (July 4-11). Also the Burgundy region is probably too far for a weekend.
( wine is better in Burgundy than in Normandy, it’s not enough ?)
MichelJanuary 18, 2012 at 10:32 pm #4608Hi Manu
The reason we are coming the first week in June is because it is the school holidays. We have vowed not to take William out of school for our trips.
Would love to come to meet in Burgandy, but cannot as William is in school. Had a great few days in Cluny in 2010, only spoilt by the fact we broke down as soon as we left the town.
Could be 6 vehicles coming from the UK to the Normandy meet, unfortunately, only 2 are Dormobiles.
Looking forward to our long weekend in France
Cheers Mick

January 24, 2012 at 10:40 pm #4610Hi all
Booked our ferry, so we are definitely coming. Will be in France about 1.30am on Saturday 2nd June, so will be stopping on the Aires de Service in Calais as normal. After breakfast in Calais, the plan is then to drive to the ED/Dia in Forges les Eure, do our shopping and then onto the campsite in Lyons la Foret.
We will be bringing our BBq/brazier again and I am going to make a proper grill for it before we set off. Please can someone book some good weather as it was a little cold last time we were there.
Cheers Mick
March 30, 2012 at 8:30 pm #4611Hello everyone,
Who’s decided to go for sure? Is it the 6 from the UK and then … ? I’m thinking about it but we have school on Friday and then on Monday again.

April 3, 2012 at 12:12 pm #4612Hi Jeremy
So far only two have committed to booking ferries, Big Dave Family and ourselves . I think the high cost of fuel and with the loss of SeaFrance Ferries, the sudden increase in ferry costs, is making people hesitate.
Bit of a chicken and egg situation. People do not want to commit until they know who’s definitely coming, but we do not know who’s definitely coming until they commit!!!!
We love France, so as long as Barney has no problems on the way, we will be very happy sat in the market place of Lyons la Foret with a cold Berre
Cheers Mick
April 11, 2012 at 1:44 pm #4613… and the people from France? Is Normandy too far for you?

May 19, 2012 at 2:41 pm #4614Hi Guys,
Afraid I’ve been neglecting the Forum lately. Jeremy, I’ll be there (on my own unfortunately as Sally is working) It would be great if you could make it, and we could repeat the 2010 Great European Dormobile Meeting! So far there are 2 (michelji & MrJones) – perhaps up to 4 French Dormobiles coming.Mick, it will be great to see you all again. Have you booked the camping already? When you say “Forges-les-EURES” I think you mean Forges-les-Eaux? – you’ve been having too many of those “cold Berres in the market-place” again!!
Salut messieurs. Combien des Dormobiles hexagonales seront présent? 🙄

michelMay 20, 2012 at 8:57 am #4616Unfortunately, mine will not be ready. Next year i hope.
May 21, 2012 at 8:58 am #4617It’s a shame michelji can’t make it, but I know he’s very busy this year. However, there’s a chance he might pop over during the weekend.
Michel, dommage! 😀
Loic, good luck with your restoration, and hope to see you next time! 8)
