      Hi Alex

there is little attraction for Esther about a weekend FULL of Land Rovers.

Do you think Louise will be talking Land Rovers all weekend? Take my word, where ever we do a gathering, it will be just like the one in Normandy. Banter, booze, bbq and a man on a accordion, hopefully?

Not sure about the French National now as William will start school on the 5th September and it would not be fair to take him out of school just as he is settling in. Looks like we are more likely coming in late August or late October again. It was a little too cold for one or two in 2010 and they have already said they would not be coming if we do it in October.

Just had a chuckle at ebay. Just found the French Army’s Jerry Cans marked for wine only. Got to get one of them mounted on the Dormobile.

      We will have to see.
Off to France in April , not sure about July / Aug yet. Oct was a bit nippy at times!

      Hi Mick,

If Carawagons are admissible on your trip are I might be up for it but I am tempted by Bannegon too and would be pushed to justify two trips – even though I would definitely be travelling solo this time…

        Hi John

Would be great to see you again at Bannegon – if I can talk my way in with my coil-sprung Series iv!!

Is there a site for pre-registration or is it just a case of pitching up and blagging your way in?

My command of the French language is somewhat very limited 😳 and the only sites on the internet I can find are undechiperable even with Google translator.

          Hi

The dates are 16-18 Sept. at Château de Bannegon (Cher). Reservations aren’t open yet, but I’ll inform you as soon as they open, and would be happy to offer what assistance I can with the perfidious language!

          Cheers,
          Tony

            HI Gramor

Our French Series comrades have been generous and given those of us, who are not good at langauges, an area on their forum. http://forum.le-temps-des-series.com/

Fourth down is “English Speaking Thread”

            Cheers Mick

I’d like to be there – but coil springs are not allowed!! Perhaps, having been connected with Dormobiles for nearly 50 years, our French colleagues can get me a special dispensation …? !!!

Worst case scenario : the coils are kindly requested to stay outside the main camp together with other cars. Now this is where it may become a little annoying : you may come across the occasional japanese stuff in the middle of discos, defenders or regular cars…
Form outside to the centre of the main camp site for series,it’s a 100 meters run max, not a big deal!
So do plan to come along and who knows, Michel might event get you in!

            See you there I hope!

            Une autre option en effet!!

            On a un record à battre : 7 dormobiles sur un rassemblement…

              Tony,

Any update on reservations site opening?. Four months to go, so not a lot of planning/maintenance time left.

              regards

              Graeme

I just realized I have a conference in Zurich that ends late the 16th. I still think I can make Bannegon though. Maybe a day late!

I have just heard from michelji, who has been asked to organise a group of LR Dormobiles, (Carawagons, Park Rangers, & etc welcome too 😀 ), at this year’s ‘Bal de Series’ at the Château of Bannegon.

Would anyone planning to attend please let us know, (even if you don’t intend to join the group 😯 )

                      Many thanks,
                      Antony
