Hi there
My partner and I have a 1978 VW bay window with a Dormobile conversion. I think it was originally a panel van as the windows have no inner metals sills.
We are in the process of a full restoration and have recently taken out all of the windows and window seals. However, I am struggling to find the right type of seals for the back passengerside and middle and back driverside windows.
These seals are not the standard seals as they are about an extra inch in width with an inner ridge that holds the inside trim panels. With it being a panel van originally it doesn’t have inner window sills and this rubber seal created those. I can attach two photos of the seal which I hope explain it better – but not sure how to upload them on here?
Does anyone know who manufactures or distributes this type of seal? If not, what do you suggest goes around the inside of the window to create a flush effect with the inner panels?
Thanks, your advice is much appreciated.
