Spring trip to France

Off in a couple of weeks time – 10th April ferry from Newhaven (to Dieppe) returning on the 22nd April, in the Land rover 2a Dormobile. WIll take a couple of days to get to Amboise where we will meet Esther’s sister, her partner and a dog, stop there for 2 nights (in a hotel!), then up to Vitre to see our son for three nights and finally a leisurely 3 days wander back to Dieppe.

Overdrive needs to go on this weekend as should by swing away spare wheel carrier. Otherwise, mostly ship shape and ready for travel.

So, watch out for a pastel green Land rover Dormobile in a couple of weeks time.

You will come across Alençon /Le Mans or near enough going down, so pay us a visit at the country house : we’ll be there 9th til 14th april. why not?

I have done a couple of jobs I promised myself I would do before the next trip;
An extra lever here

Over drive has been treated to a new clutch sleeve and bearing and lever.

Plus, an extra spare wheel carrier – swing a way type that fits on the rear cross member and rear panel but also fixes to the back door so that it opens and closes with the door. – for those extra “blow out” occaisons that can happen!!

Cor! that spare wheel carrier is a bit posh!! Dormobile looking great. Glad to hear you got the overdrive fitted.

We will be in France not long after you, but will be dashing through, heading south into to Spain and beyond. I think Lou is secretly planning a breakdown before we get to the Spanish border, so we can spend three weeks in France!!

It was great to see Marc and Virginie and the girls. Now in Vitre. Leaving tomorrow for a gentle trip back to Dieppe for Friday ferry.
Waterleak stopped but overdrive helpin place with bunjy!
