seat belts

Hi, after a bit of advice

What I would like to know is, is it possible to (retro) fit a center 3point seat belt to either the front or back rows of dormatic seats? (or some other form of harness)

What I want is to be able to sit 3 young children safely. Two are presently in forward facing child seats and one in a rear facing.

Any help or advice would be gratefully received.

Yes, you can – we fitted two child seat harnesses to the rear dormatic seats in our now sadly decrepit Series III dormobile. I think they were made by Britax. I’ve attached a photo of the harness that is still in situ (I must get the brambles out). As you see, this old lass needs a complete rebuild 🙁 However, sitting behind her is my “new” Series IIA 🙂

A belated welcome to you both 🙂 can’t offer much advice on the fitting of seat harnesses although I can’t see it being too difficult.

Looks like you’ve a big job on your hands with the series III rebuild Sheila, my dormobile has a very similar expedition rack fitted like yours.

Hi both, thanks for replies. Sorry for lateness in getting back to you, I posted just before I went away on holiday and then had no internet whilst away. All input greatfully received and helped me make a positive decision 🙂
