Hi all,
I’m remaking my curtains, based on the old one who was removed and I don’t understand how it’s work for the 2 small glass on each side of the rear door.
Could someone publish a picture?
Thanks
Loic
February 9, 2013 at 2:18 pm #5033Hi Loic,
My dormobile had a piece of board attached over the two windows in question, the same as the headlining and other trim panels. This was a factory fitment on mine but whether others are the same I don’t know. I shall replace with something similar when I re trim the interior 🙂I’m not sure if you’d want a curtain so near to the cooker anyway 😕
February 9, 2013 at 5:31 pm #5034Hi Guys,
I’m afraid the old memory isn’t what it was, but I seem to rememberthe rear curtains were gathered in the rear corner, and then pulled one way to the edge of the rear door (round a 90 degree bend in the rail), then forward to 1/2 way behind the kitchen unit. The rest of the curtain was gathered behind the front seats. When pulled back, the 2 curtains were fastened together by press studs.
Some info here (scroll down) :
http://www.expeditionlandrover.info/Dormobile/other.htmlJerry, with the splash guard/cooker top in position, there is no danger of burning the curtains, but you could always pull them to the edges of the kitchen unit, and rely on the cooker top for privacy.
One important thing though; I had the original Calor gas propane bottles and regulator. If you change to butane, it’s imperative to have the system checked by a qualified gas engineer, because the regulator and possibly the cooker jets will probably need changing.

That could explain for the curtain on kitchen’s side. But for the wardrobe side, it should be different, because the curtain don’t go behind the wardrobe…

February 14, 2013 at 7:46 pm #5037Hi Loic,
Yes the rear curtains are attached with press studs (“snaps” in U.S. english). 3 on the left window, all of which are in the roof side, and 4 on the right (I have no photo of this one: 2 press studs are in the roof side and 2 are down on the tub). The curtain next to the wardrobe on the side window at the rear, behind the water shelf, also has 4 press studs: 2 in the side wall of the roof and 2 in the tub of the Land Rover. The curtain in front of the wardrobe on the side has a single press stud at the bottom, in the metal trim piece, and the curtain slides on a Silent Gliss rail.-Jeremy
