I’d been thinking about what to watch tonight and fancied watching something old, with classic cars in it. Apart from the normal, like most of the Carry on films, can anyone suggest a good film with “lashings” of classics in it?
Two great films I can recommend for 60’s classic cars are, Robbery (1967 in colour) A humdrum thriller based on the Great Train Robbery of the Royal Mail in the early 1960s. The cast are all kitted out in sharp suits, speaking in dodgy dialogue and generally embodying the decade’s idea of ultra cool.
Payroll (1961 B/W) An underrated British film about naive working class criminals. A vicious gang of crooks plan to steal the wages of a local factory, but their carefully laid plans go wrong…
