At some stage in Moby’s illustrious past, the lower hinge anchor at the bottom of the door sustained damage, possibly from catching the wind or similar. It has had some pop riveted repairs done to it, which at some stage I need to investigate, as it appears rather wobbly.
My main concern at the moment is that the door is hanging low on the hinges, which I assume is because something isnt in the right place. One of the pair of hinges has a 3 or 4 mm raided lip next to the ball & socket cup, and Im wondering if the hinges have been put in the wrong place (ie. Top and bottom swapped.)
The other thing Im trying to work out is what the correct assembly of nut, spring, ball and bolt is in relation to the hinge arms.
If anyone could send close up photos of the top and bottom hinge on their Landcruiser if their door is working fine (or even send the correct assembly in writing), I shall be most grateful
Cheers
Mike
