Land Rover Dormobile 1969 series IIa

Genuine Martin Walther Landrover Dormobile 2.6l series IIa for sale.

I purchased this Land Rover to restore but, due to other projects pending I am selling. Currently on SORN and no MOt.

All the dormobile parts are still there in the truck. Nothing Dormobile to find to restore it.

1. Excellent roof cap, with new vent and seal fitted. Still water tight, had it up all week during the recent storm.
2. Roof canapy in truly excellent condition for age. (red cand stripe) Some small repairs made with genuine aged Dormobile canapy repair kit. Invisible from a distance.
3. Both bunks intact, the bunk covers are once again in great condition. They have not faded and the red tartan will burn your eyes out!!
4. Strip light still working. With new diffuser fitted.
5. Wardrobe unit and mirror fitted. (original)
6. Table (original)
7. Kitchen unit (original) With original stove and sink unit (pink). Both still plumbed in. Stove has cooked a three course meal for me and the wife.
8. Gas bottle cage under drivers seat. Blasted and repainted.
9. Front and rear seats in position fronts very worn. Springs showing on drivers side. Rears never fitted, as new.
10. Fitted with a reconditioned 2.6 ltr staight six petrol five years ago. Vehicle has not run much since. When running is so quiet I think it has stalled. Used to diesels.
11. New wiing loom pulled through.
12. Four new leaf springs and rear shocks fitted.

it really needs a new chassis. It has been welded by the previous owner. I have already repaired and sealed the offside to the back. Needs new out riggers and sill chanels, which would be included in the sale.

I am gutted to have to sell her. I was hoping to have the time to complete and use her. I can supply photos on request. Please be patient as I work terrible shifts.
