Osiyo [hello],
I am so new here, you can hear my key board ‘squeak’. My name is Paol [pronounced; Pole] I am of both British and N/American decent, becoming very wrinkly, retired from being both a designer and an announcer, although I still Do the odd ‘Charity event’. I still love to organise the odd event now and then and have a new ‘meet’ coming up. I’ll tell you about that in a moment! My old Bedford dormie is ‘long gone’ and I do miss the old bus with it’s cantankerous ways and a want to break down in awkward places. On the tram lines at Blackpool was the best one! Now I have a ‘lesser’ camper that I have spent months rebuilding, after finding it as a rusted wreck in a garden. It is not quite finished, ‘but on the road’. Dare I say it?……..It’s a Talbot Express…..Sorry! Ho Hum! OK, let me tell you about my ‘meet’; I have secured up to 40 pitches on a really good site on the very lovely Hayling Island in Hampshire. All types of camper,motor-home etc, even one or two caravans. The reason for this ‘meet’ is to celebrate having a camper again and a damn good excuse to have some fun! My ‘meet’ is organised by me alone and has no commercial links, catches or scams, just my ‘party’ for you all!
Here are the details; 11th to 15th September 09 at ‘Fishery Creek Touring Park, 100 Fishery Lane, Hayling Island, Hampshire UK. PO11 9NR. Telephone; 02392 462164. http://www.camping@fisherycreek.co.uk. The really good news is the price per pitch; only 50 quid for all 4 nights including hookup and free showers. You book direct, quoting; Paol Hart’s Talbot Meet’
with Julie [manager] Book before end of June if you can!
I look forward to meeting lots of Dormobile owners there [even if I will be jealous]. Oh, I nearly forgot….I am arranging some silly sports and an American supper for Saturday 12th and with any luck we will have some ‘Birds of Prey’. There are great places to visit and shops, pubs etc locally. YOU are invited!
May the Great White Spirit be with you! Paol. -
