How do I replace the canvas on my two bunk beds

Hi

I have a 1971 VW Dormobile early bay. I have recently purchased this lovely van and have started to give it the love and care it needs to get it back to its former glory. I have replaced all of the headlining but the two bunk beds were badly rusted, seized solid and the tartan canvas was rotten. I have managed to free up the mechanism on both but how do I replace the canvas? How does it fix on to the two poles?

Any helpful advice would be much appreciated.
