For Sale: 1960 Bedford CA Romany Dormobile

Hi everyone, I’m a newbie to this forum, but it looks like a hive of activity on vintage camper vans.

I have a very old 1960 Bedford CA Romany Dormobile for sale as a restoration project. It is located in Lancashire, near Preston and has been in a shed and not moved for the last 36 years! Please have a look on Ebay, for nostalgia if nothing else.

I’m sorry to say that it looks like the person who won this auction never had any intention of buying the van.

I need to empty the barn where the van is stored. So the van is still for sale, though not on Ebay.

Well, my time has been completely wasted by a bidder on Ebay who bid four times on the item and won it, but had no intention of ever paying for it. If you ever come across a bidder by the name of peter123alandavid (Alan David Hickson of Witney), then watch out!

So I’m going to re-list the van in the next few days. I would love to see someone take it on as a renovation project, and for 480 ENM to be back on the road – if not it will have to be scrapped. So if any enthusiast on this forum wants to take a look at the advert, or even to make me an offer, then please get in touch.

You could always break the van for parts if it does not sell, it would be a shame to scrap the whole vehicle.There is a few bits i would be interested in,and some of the bits would be relatively easy to remove and at least you would get something out of it.
