    Hello all,
i am new to the forum so go easy…

I purchased an ex mod 110 fitted for radio LandRover with a view to change it to a camper van. All the old radio stuff has gone, 2.5 n/a head gasket replaced and a general check over found it to be in very good shape…with the odd bullet hole here and there. I have battened the sides, using a polymer to stick the batons to the aluminium and (using the same polymer) glued armaflex 13mm inbetween the batons. This i am doing to both sides, wheel arches and the floor. I have always wanted a pop top but when i saw the price of a brand new dormobile roof unit i nearly fainted, but was wondering if 2nd hand units come up for sale…or not.

My landie roof is the type with “struts” running all the way along, front to back so would i have to fit a modern roof to be able to accept the dormobile ?

    Many thanks,
    steve.

Early landrover conversions all had the “ribs”, however, it is much easier to convert a flat one. Preferably without a sun roof as the DOrmobile roof renders a sun roof inoperable (cant open it!)
