Hi,
Thanks to the ‘dormobile of the world’ section, about 6 of us in France can now share on this forum (and there are plenty of pics too…).It this time of the year again when too much snow and miserable weather lead us to discuss meeting in Spring or Autumn. This could be in le Mans (again), Chartres, Burgundy,… but nothing is finalised, neither in terms of site nor dates, so here is the idea, let’s make it happen this year with as many dormobiles as we can!

dave glanfieldJanuary 13, 2010 at 9:28 am #2874Hi Dave,
I put a link to le mans classic: http://www.lemansclassic.com/en/s01_home/s01p01_home.php.In the “dormobile of the world’ section” we discussed about the possibility to have a meeting at this ocasion; but It seems that some of the french personns will be in holidays in some other places for the 9,10,11 of july;
That’s why Marc propose spring or autumn.
I must add, just in case, I will be to “the mans classic”.

Louise, William and I have tried several times to get to Bannegon, but never made it. This year we are planning to come over to the ‘Bal des Series’ in August in Barney.
Are any of you thinking of attending?
Could we meet up there?
Have there been problems with the event?
Just wondered why it has moved away from Bannegon?Cheers Mick

May 20, 2010 at 9:10 pm #2881Hi Mick
I have been away from this scene for a while due to heavy workload, apologies…
Yes, I am still keen, but not too sure now about who wants to do what where & when. Similar ongoing chat on the ‘dormobiles of the world’ section with the french lads,
Any ideas or steady plans?
Kind regards,
MarcMay 21, 2010 at 9:01 am #2882Hello, I always have the idee to make a meeting this autumn enters Compiegne and Soissons if one or two dormobiles English come and French four or five (more maybe vw) 😉
I work on it 😆 😆May 23, 2010 at 10:57 pm #2883Hi Marc
We are still hoping to come to France in July for our holidays and are planning to drive down eastern France in Barney, over the alps and eventually down to Frejus. This is a repeat of our honeymoon, so not planning to spend too much time talking Land Rovers. The exception to this are people like yourself, as long as you let Louise practice her French language skills.
Would ideally like to drive over the Alps off road and wild camp, but not sure if this is acceptable or where to go? Where did Hannibal go?
Anybody want to meet up in the Chamonix 3rd week in July and do some wild camping in the Alps?
Mick
