Hi there i have recently joined the club after purchasing a 1964 Romany super which i intend to restore (i already have a 1973 Land Rover Dormobile which i restored about 4 years ago). I hope someone can help with a few things, the bodyside window rubbers seem to be dificult to source the wide ones with the slot for the trim,i have tried the places in the club mag but cant seem to find a match.

Also the Kitchen units and the wardrobe i have seem a bit strange they have been painted with a Formica effect paint although under some parts of the paint you can see the grey white Formica, some of the woodwork is also just painted and is not faced with Formica, i assume all the woodwork should be Formica’d. I contacted Formica who were aware of the pattern but it has been discontinued.Any suggestions apart from redoing the units with a different Formica. Does anyone have a spare tap? mine has been broken and has a piece missing.
Any advice with restoring one of the vehicles would be greatly appreciated, likewise if anyone has a Land Rover and has any questions i would be happy to help/advise.

    regards Malcolm

Hi Malcolm, I’ve just received a catelogue for a window rubber supplier with loads of profiles, any change you can send me a picture of the cross section and I’ll see if I can match it up. I can send you the catelogue on line, but it’s a big file, if your okay with that I’ll send it through.

    Cheers
    John
