Anybody Know My Land Rover?

Hi All,

After a long time trying to find one I now own a 1967 Landy Dormobile that has been off the road since 2008. Just wondering if anybody knows of it. It is from the Helston area and registered BFO 994E. In green and moss with added rust and some later Landy parts.

I also have the chassis number if anyone is able to get info from that but not sure if it is safe to put it on here.

Well done for buying that. Are you going to rebuild it with a proper front end?
Looked a bargain (if you could cope with the series 3 front)

It did seem too good to miss. The chap selling was really helpfull and quite genuine. I was amazed at the offers people had put in for it, the seller was asking a really sensible price but was still getting stupid offers. I am off to Helston to collect it next Saturday so will have more info then.

As for the series three front – I have an ex military S11a 88″ ffr that has been in my garden for a few years. I think that the front will be taken off that to make the Dormobile correct.

I shall shortly be having a wardrobe made for my (other) Dormobile – could well have 2 done. If interested in having one, let me know. It won’t be an exact copy of the Dormobile one, it is slightly different – 2 opening doors etc. Think the one for my (current) Dormobile was about £350ish. This will be over the winter, so no great rush – and there is transport to think of!
