Hi – I recently removed the fibreglass on the side of my dormobile to find the metal moths had been having a feast. There are 7-8 fist(&larger) sized holes – has anybody had this & what did you do? Patch or fabricate a new side panel? Any help welcome. Thanks Ianmc

Hi Ianmc, I’m not familier with the Bedford, so am not sure what is behind the fibre glass. Question is can you weld? If so can you find enough metal to attach a repair to? Are you a member of the Club? If so I can put you in touch with a couple of members who have been there are done that!!

    Regards

Thanks John – behind the fibre glass is just a bedford van. The holes are far enough apart to have enough metal to weld to but I am sure I will be creating problems for the future because of the qty & size (when cut back to good metal). Some holes are on the curved part of the side panel. Cant weld so either way I will be paying to get it done.
Not a club member but would appreciate details/contacts.

    Hi

Minor Miracles in Devon have done a fanstastic job of restoring the bodywork on my 1966 Workobus, creating panels where there were none.
Perhaps they can help you. Top rate work, and not expensive considering how high their standard is.

here are the photos of their work, before and after.
