We took our first trip this weekend to test it. It does work, and the exhaust doesn’t get into the Land Rover.
A year ago I thought the idea was exaggerated. The stove would heat the interior, I thought. But when it’s cold, the gas doesn’t flow, and you can’t light the stove! And kids can’t jump around while water is boiling on the stove. The Eberspacher makes breakfast much easier for my kids.
I got the unit used from Swiss Army surplus for 200 CHF and I put another 150 CHF spare parts into it to be sure it’s safe and reliable.
So far I just use the starter battery and it’s no great load.
