Just had to put a Die down mine as they were coming to the end of the thread, before they were clamping the seat. I used a 5/16″ unf die, but to be honest it seamed very slightly tight. The dies I have are cheap Chinese manufactured dies with no split. I guess Martin Walters has a proper set with the split and threaded they with the split fully open or threaded them on a lathe.
They all work 100% now, so it cannot of been a great difference? looked like 40 years of rubbish in the die, not much metal in there?
As for finding some, sorry cannot help, but will keep my eyes open.
