bienvenue, une bien belle histoire que ce rapatriement
du travail et ensuite que du plaisir

“Welcome! A very nice story about getting it home, hard work, and then nothing but pleasure!”

Then jerryd said, “Desolé mais mon francais “n’existe pas” – mais un grand bonjour ‘d’ici en-bas’ (l’australie!)

michelji then said, “Keep the stickers if you can -they are part of the Dormie’s history”

Ant says(!) : Perhaps some good quality photos would be a compromise?”

      Cheers,

If it’s not too hard to work around them, I think it’s cool to save elements of the vehicle’s history that don’t interfere with it being reliable, safe, useful, or tasteful  . Without some history, a restored vehicle looks sterile, like a toy.

By all means you have the right to make it your vehicle, too, but this one seems very well documented and so its history weighs in just a bit more than usual. Mine had 17 owners previous to me and had parts on it from at least 3 other vehicles.

I kept this club sticker in my window, even though it’s crumbling. I also kept the parking light from the original Right-Hand-Drive configuration, even though it’s on the wrong side of the vehicle, now, and isn’t even wired in.

Other stuff that might have meant something to a previous owner, but which I found ugly or in the way, has been removed!
