      Hi Jeremy,

I have all the original curtains, however they will not all be re-usable… I am going to make replacements and keep the originals locked away safely for future reference. I can photograph any interior features you would like. All the rails are present, just let me know what you need to know although I can tell you the silent glass sliders are all detachable and a clipped to a fabric curtain strip much like the house curtains of my youth! There are quite a few studs present!! When I have replicated I can post them to Switzerland, you can post on to Michel and then they can be sent back to me??

      Interesting things –

I have the original instructions and guarantee for the 8v strip light that was fitted by Martin Walters (it has the build reference on it), I have the hand typed instructions for the dormobile operation and I have instructions for the Lucus screen wash that also seems to have been fitted by Martin Walters. I have the land rover user manuals for the vehicle and the original service card for the 100 mile free service etc.. There is an interesting clip that holds the cooker lid up, kinda metal and wood, is this standard? Anyway I will document all the interior features for reference and post them up, I love the inbuilt tool tray under the centre seat, very cool!

Can you do that article for this issue btw!!?

See your S2C mailbox! Not an article this time I’m afraid, too much real work the last few weeks!

Curtains … Michel’s are beautiful remakes. I just meant I’d queue after his request for the roof rack info …

Incredible documentation you received! I love to hear your story of discovery as it unfolds. The 8W light was missing from mine (mine had 2, I think, because the wiring was in the roof and it looked very Lucar-ish, purple with white stripe).

Yes the stove clip is standard. I really took pains to preserve mine, which was quite rusty.

I think I copied the rear curtains well, but the wraparound ones need improving. A photo of the curtain sliders and how they attach to the top of the curtains would be nice, and a rough count of how many sliders per foot (meter), the height of the curtains, and where there are press studs. It’s not urgent.

So I take it your Dormobile is at your home, now, and not so far away anymore?

          Michel,

I think it is original, just strange how it has the recess for a spare wheel? Anyway, I have attached something I found in my paperwork that may interest you… Wonder if you use the part number whether you can order with LR 😉

            Michel,

Some pictures as promised, it looks genuine but has some differences to those previously recorded? Sorry for the delay, I was busy fixing the brakes today.

            Dan
