Top of Forum Technical Bedford watt colour should my engine be?

    hi i have just had my engine reconditioned. what paint is left on the engine is sort of tourquoise is this the original colour for a 1963 ca or should be something else. as i want to paint it before i put it back in. can anyone tell me many thanks dave

    I we the only ones in the club with a CA ,it would appear so , or is it that nobody else can be bothered to lift the bonnet !
    My engine is an red with a slight orangy tint .I don’t know if it is origonal but it appears to be.

      thanks jim for the comments it seams that the red engine is a recon engine which is could a kent engine. i think the original engines wear black not that i have had much success finding out with this club. little or no response some funny ha ha.well still not fund out what the tourquoise is my just paint it red as i want to put it back in this week end many thanks dave

      Mine’s 1964 and black (underneath the oil) with no added humour 🙁

      decided to paint my engine tourquoise as it was easier to paint it the same colour. put it back in and it up and running. after 30 years. sorry carol if i took the oily engine the wrong way, well most of the hard work is dune many thanks dave
