    Hi,

Well the summer is almost here which means our van is out a lot more being used, so if you see us give us a honk! however becuase of this I am finding some problems that weren’t apparent when we weren’t using it so much.

The main one that is bugging me at the moment is this: The van starts first time fine when I get in to use it, however once I have driven it around for a while, and stop, turn the engine off, next time I go to start it sometimes I have problems. The motor will turn, over and over and over and over and over and sometimes seem like it’s going to shake the van apart! Although it always does start again I was wondering what might be the reason for not starting so well after it has been driven and the engine warmed up.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,
    Martin.

Looks like a faulty coil or condensator.

I had this problem on an other car . I don’t think it is an electrical problem . I think it is due to the heat from the engine evapoating the fuel left in the carb and it takes a while for the mechanical pump to refil the system . I fitted an electric pump which fills it up as soon as the ignition is switched on .
