      Hi all

I am in the process of rebuilding the cooker unit on my 1970 Land Rover Dormobile. The Stove has suffered a little over the years and I could do with a new burner head. The stove is the standard Stoves Ltd of Rainhill stove with Argyll written on the burner top.

Anyone know where I can get spares for this stove?

      Cheers Mick

Sorry, don’t know where you would get spares, but during a rummage through some boxes of spares found two burner heads with Argyll on them which you can have if they are any better than the ones you have.

        Hi Gramor

You are an absolute star. They are exactly what I need. Both mine were full of rust. I managed to clean one out without removing it, but had to try and remove the other one. As the fixing screws are completely rotten, the set screw snapped straight away. Silly me then sat the brass top in the vice and warmed it up to try and get the screw out. As soon as it got warm, the whole top distorted and that was the end of that.

Your burners will get my cooker full operational. 😀

        pm sent.

        Cheers Mick

Sent recorded delivery this morning, copy reciept attached so you can track it, and when you get the package I can confirm your suspicions that it was indeed wrapped by a 3 year old who managed to get just slightly less sellotape on me and the dog in the process.

        Stoves are still in business.
Could some one write on the clubs behalf and ask if they have any spares left?
A few years ago I rang trying to fix a 30 year old cooker and they had a root around and gave me the part for free as it was obsolite, its worth a try.
I live nearby if they need collecting
