Small unit?

Hi everyone, question, I have a cabinet with sliding glass doors in my van (above the sink unit) I was wondering, what would have been kept in here? What is the main purpose of this unit? 😕

going by the size of the unit I would have thought maybe cups or beakers mate, of them little lidded pots with tea coffee an sugar in???

my van has cups and glasses in it. they was in the van I got it. and my van had been stud for 31 years .
