And, did series threes only have 2 single front seats as opposed to a double and a single please?

          Hi Alex

The Martin Walter s/no was stamped into a stick-on label mounted on the centre inside bulkhead area below the instrument panel.

If you mean chassis no., apart from the metal plate, this was also stamped into the outside of the rt/hand chassis member just behind the front bumper.

According to my ancient and failing memory the S3 had the normal Dormobile double passenger seat, but upholstered in black.

          Cheers

            Thanks Ant

I was looking through the Expedition Dormobile site and TerriAnns pics (page 10 ish) appears to show a series three with two single and a cubby box type thing.

My new purchase appears to have had 2 singles from new. (they are black though)

You’re quite right Alex – I’ve just seen a MW brochure for the S3 – and standard home market spec was 2 single beds (ie 1 passenger & 1 driver front seat). The only S3 I’ve seen had a double passenger seat and double bed so perhaps there was an option – for export anyway, as it was LHD.

According to my dormobile’s previous owner, she ordered it with the double passenger seat but they only had a single passenger seat available. This was not acceptable to her, so they had to get a double seat specially made which they supplied to her for diy fitting.
I have the original single seat as a spare which has never been used. Mine is a 1976 model

Would you know how the non driver’s single seat folds please?

I am not sure that the operating system might be missing a bit or two
