Hi,
Many LR’s have an awning mount on the rain gutter, with self-tapping screws.
Has anyone seen/put an awning rail (to slide a tarp into) on the tilt roof?
What do you think of the aesthetics if it ran just above the hinges, as in the photo? Should I bend it in a curve to match that of the fiberglass roof?
It occurred to me while fitting a rail to my rain gutter that it would be much nicer to have it a bit higher than the rain gutter: doors wouldn’t foul it, I wouldn’t hit my head, etc. And I think it would stay on better because there’s more surface area for it to contact, versus the rain gutter.
Wherever it goes, I’m going to glue it on with SikaFlex 212, which I also bought at the camper store. That should make my modification somewhat reversible.
