    Hi

I wondered if anyone would be interested in seeing pictures of the restoration of my Bedford CA Workobus.

It’s been owned since new by my father who has documented every tank of fuel, every service, and nearly every mile driven. I was brought home from the maternity ward in Nottingham 3 days old in 1968 … and we’ve never had the heart to part with it. After 130,000 enjoyable miles it was garaged in 1978 and stored until 2006.

As you can see, this one was almost too far gone to be worth saving. I started work on the restoration myself in 1985 and managed to collect a lot of new body panels and parts while they were still available, but had to stop work in 1989 when I went to university and later emigrated to Norway.

The restoration is due to be finished in November.

Here are the photos, before and after, leading up to the present day:

I’d like to recommend the following people and firms who have made this restoration possible:

    Adrian Bailey Classics (http://www.roverland.eu)
    Pete Dobbs in Huddersfield
