Hi! Recent new member from Yorkshire and already enjoying the Forum, picking up a few tips and admiring the work members have put into their cherished Dormobiles.
I purchased my 1985 Toyota Hi-ace 3 months ago from a chap who had not used it and had, had it in storage for the past 5 years (he took it as payment for a business debt)
His plans to work on it this year stopped because of health reasons.
Exterior clean and tidy no rust or damage. The interior another matter. Upholstery torn and dirty, units in a bad state needing a lot of work, services unreliable and a few essential bits missing.
I have really enjoyed this project thus far. Planning the work, hunting down the parts,(thank God for the internet) leaning new skills, and of course using it as a `Camper`

    Regards

    Derek

All cabinets laminated with 3mm wall board. New lightweight doors made & fitted with new handles. Seats, new sponge and covers. Pop-Up roof gas struts replaced.
    Roof vent replaced.
A lot more to do. However enjoying the hunt for parts and learning new skills.
