Hi everyone, here is a photo diary that I’m starting to keep of my restoration progress.

      Hi Gary,
Just looked through your photos, looks like you’ve done a great job! Most my my van appears to be filler these days too!

I would love the opportunity sometime in the future to redo the whole bodywork and paint job just like you have, however for now we were just looking to get it back on the road!

interesting to see all the photos, and I even see where the flap for the draft excluder goes that I was inquiring about!

How long have you been working on it?

Oh yeah, I was also going to ask, did you get new rear window rubbers when you took them out or were they ok?

Mine are quite perished, black runs down in the rain, and I was just going to use some marine rubber sealent that drips into the cracks and seals it, however if you know somewhere I can get rear rubbers that would be most helpful!

      Martin.

Sorry Martin, just read your post, my rubbers are fine, so no need for new ones. I have primed the rear doors and refitted them, and they seem fine. Sorry I can’t help.

        You could try http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/ 🙂

To answer your other question, I’ve only been working on the van since late December, and try and do as much as I can in between work. I,ll probably only get it in primer this year as I have all the underneath to clean off and I’m also wanting to get the engine out, cleaned and repainted too. As long as I have it in primer, I’ll be able to get out in in when I’m not working on it. 😀 😀
