since using the van the steering box has become incontinent. As it looks like a pig of a job to remove, any reason why it should not be filled with grease instead of gearbox oil ?
The leak was coming from the tube that contains the horn wire, and exits in the middle of the box. As the horn had been relocated many moons ago this tube serves no function. I have “gummed” it up with body filler which seems to have worked. I know it’s a bodge, but to fix it properly needs the steering box removed (front bumper, front panel etc).
