Land Rover Dormobile for sale

Hello,

FYI I ran across this ad yesterday for a Land Rover Dormobile:

No, this isn’t mine (though mine might have Colorado plates one day when I return home across the Big Pond!). The ad says the Mercedes motor doesn’t start.

Given that a peach really low mileage 2.6l was bought locally by Marc from France for £1,900 (euros 2,836) it just goes to show that I bid too low for that, please don’t remind me!

PS The only good news is that the very original 1963 “RU” cost far far less euros so whilst renovations and a galvanished chassis will add muchly at least it has headlights in the grille panel.

Ouch! I paid quite a bit more than that for my “peach” from Germany! But mine has an original broiling pan. The Swiss motor vehicle inspectors would rather it had a new chassis/bulkhead, though 😥 .
