hello everyone ian walker here,thinking off joining club again when romany is back on the road.could be a while though,engine is out and fitted in my fb victor ,i run everyday,i want a clutch for it if poss s/hand,untill i get around to swoping engine/box back,is there still a north south devide in club,nobody in the south ever liked what people up north were doing,and vice versa,thats why i left the club,cheers,ian

Hi comet, which end of the country are you from ?
I am from mddle south and the club does not seem to active at the moment but it needs the members to help each other, to get active.
I have been going to many shows this last year and met many friendly members and non members of the dormobile club who own dormobiles.
I am hoping to travel a little further north next year to meet like minded owners.
But when you use the forum it dosnt matter where you live as long as you can help one another.

Hi all, the North south devide no longer exists as the southern members are no longer as active, the North is flourishing and doing well. My location (Bedford) has little activity, I’m quite new to this area having moved up from Kent and am struggling to find the best shows to go to and then organise regular attendance.

The club needs a South Midlands rep familier with the area and who can advise which shows to go to. There are loads of club members in this area we just need to be organised.

Tomorrow I’m at the Bedfordshire Steam and Country Faye with my Landrover,I got in because of my membership to the series2 club, I’ve tried getting a stand in before for Dormobiles but always been rejected. 😥

Earls Barton was rained off this year 😥

Haynes 100 is a nice one day show in July 😀

I would love to go to more shows but need your help.

hi all
i was in the club last year went to woodvalle at Southport with the club most of the vans were cf debenairs it was a little clicky for me .being new to showing my van.i do not think that i was entered in the competition. so I went on my own this year and came 2nd with my van
the biggest gripe I have if you do not go to the meeting in between Christmas and new year you do not get to know where they or going for the year and now one tells you not e van in the dormobile digest that’s why i ham out
i like Mostly the steam r alleys and the big 2 day classic car shows i have put a lot of work into my van and like to show if I have won 5 tropes this year
and i ham with people that wont to do the same as me i have really enjoyed this year hope to take my van south next year to show you what we can do up north

i have a new plate comeing,but need presure plate have u a s/hand spare u want to sell
