For anyone interested in taking a longer excursion with their Bedford next summer, there’s an international meet taking place in Lundø i Denmark from June 1st to June 5th, 2011.
I attended in 2010 and it was a great meet! Highly recommended. Great people and great food. The Scandinavians always extend a warm welcome to Brits, Dutch and other nationalities attending with their Bedfords.

I just got this information in from the club secretary, Lasse. Looks like an exciting programme they’ve got lined up for us, including a rally, which was great fun this year. I plan to take part with my CA Workobus, coming from Norway.
International Vauxhall-Bedford Meeting
Lundø, DenmarkThe meeting will take place from June the 2th — 5th. The Meeting and accommodation will be at Lundø. For those who want to come before June the 2nd or/and stay after June the 5th we will and can help to arrange accommodation, here at Lundø or where you want in Denmark.
June the 2nd: We will visit Jesperhus Resort, which is a family owned company with an interesting history. Throughout the years Jesperhus has developed from a small flower garden to the largest Flower Park in Northern Europe, http://www.jesperhus.dk Lundø – Jesperhus = 35 km
June the 3rd: We will visit Skive, and have a show on the Posthouse Square. The members in the Danish club and Krumtapperne will watsch your cars. You are free to go shopping or the Skive guides will show you Skive’s tourist attractions. You can visit Skive Harbour or the Museum. http://www.visitskive.dk Lundø – Skive = 18 km
June the 4th: Rally – The rally contains a small contest. And the Route is wonderful and full of surprises! We will eat lunch at a local brewery on the island Fur in the Limfjord http://www.furbryghus.dk http://www.fursund.dk The whole route = 120 km
June the 5th: We are happy to have you in Denmark this day. June the 5th is our National Day in Denmark and always a holliday — and few years ago, it also became the day of all historical vehicles. We will visit Spøttrup Castle together with a lot of other old vehicles.

Spøttrup Castle in Salling is Denmark’s most well preserved medieval castle. The Castle oozes of medieval times like nowhere else in Denmark. The museum offers numerous activities, such as evocations, displays and markets. The many activities contribute to making Spøttrup Castle an exciting place to visit.

4 x breakfast, 4 x dinner, lunch at the brewery Saturday, entrance fee for Jesperhus, Spøttrup Castle, Mønsted Limestone Caves, the concert and the ferry to the isle of Fur are included in the price for the whole meeting : 900 DKR per adult
Children 4-12 half price – Children 0-3 for freeWe will be helpful with accommodation during the Meeting. We have booked a range of possibilities – summer cottages and holiday apartments. Will you join us before and after the Meeting we’ll arrange some trips and events during the days in Denmark.
Accomodation: 150 DKR per person per night.
