I am looking for interior trims for the door panels, at least for the RHD front and LHD rear as they are missing and the others are present and OKayish but I could do with replacing all 4.
I have not made any research yet and I believe
that door panels are standard SIIA items and not dormobile specific.
Anyone to confirm this last assumption? Also, and I guess this will be tougher, the RHD driver seat is teared on the side and one can see the springs inside. I believe it can be mended, but where? or find a replacement, but where?
As for finding out quality replacement, I have heard that “Exmoor trims” does provide quality although at a price, any recommendations?
Kind regards,

Anyone to confirm this last assumption?I have the original elephant hide door panels on Bea, they are standard Series 2 panels with pockets and armrests on the front doors. Will try and post pics over the weekend.

Had mine repaired by a local upholsterer friend who specialises in classic cars.

Exmoor Trim ‘Dormobile’ kit is very good quality, it does not completly match the original but not far off. It is expensive and requires a level of upholstery skill to fit or a professional.

Kind regards
MarcMay 20, 2009 at 9:11 pm #2310Salut Marc
Bon courage
MichelMay 21, 2009 at 3:58 pm #2311Mine are currently black with Elephant Hide bottoms. I suppose the Elephant Hide is original, like on Michel’s. I will also be buying Exmoor covers when it’s time, even if they aren’t perfect imitiations.
It’s too bad about the piping making an uncomfortable bed, but mine have no piping and I think they’re uncomfortable enough! I use a foam pad!
I have a question, myself, about trim, if I may ask it in Marc’s thread: I’m re-wallpapering and/or replacing my interior panels this week. Does anyone know where to find the plastic U-profile edging that’s on some of the trim pieces? I’m missing some segments of it. thanks,
-Jeremy
