Very nice indeed but it’s not a Deluxe but a Deauville, the Deluxe Deluxe!

      Hello
I bought this Ca (a bit scabbier than the photos suggest but nothing major and great running gear).

      One question though…

The interior fit out is different to any other, I’ve come across. Is this because, as someone says, it’s a Deauville?

Are there any more out there or are there any brochures I should be searching for, specifically for this model?

The rear seats, in particular, differ, as they are part of the fit out, in ply, rather than the metal folding type, I am accustomed to.

Any info would be much appreciated.

The interior is very different between the Romany range and the Deauville.

I will check my litterature on the Deauville and answer you later today

I just had a look at the photos. Your Bedford has got an original Easicool and seems to have retained its original curtains as well. That’s great!

Oh dear! That’s bad news. The boss hates the curtains (she’s already looking at material swatches) but, as I register 10 on the anorak scale, they’ll have to stay.

From what I have found, the Easicool is an original fitment to the Deauville as well as the lamp you have on the inside left hand, it’s a bit difficult to confirm for the curtains as there are various patterns but they are typical period look and the colour matches the body.
There aren’t many infos on the Dormobiles and especially the Deauville. Both Martin Walter and Bedford have issued leaflets. Infos on the Deauville can be found in some of the general Dormobile or Romany leaflets which are in colours. There is also at least one specific sheet from Martin Walter for the Deauville.
            Hope it helps
PS : From what I see, we have the same rear number plate lights apart from the fact that mine is missing… Would it be possible for you to tell me the reference (Lucas?) of it? It’s under the spare wheel flap. Thank you

Phil Perfect, the french anorak 😆

If it’s the same as these then I’m afraid I can’t see a number but I’ll have a closer look, a bit later.

              Thank’s a lot!
I have never seen anything like that!

When I get time I’ll unscrew one and photograph the whole unit.

😯 Looks like a little person up there! 2 eyes poking out! 😆

Nice van Carl, some bits to do maybe but looks good!

Plenty of parts about still, try http://www.roverland.eu

              Cheers

              John 🙂

Phil, how funny Adrian Bailey at Roverland has just listed the CA number plate light bits for you…

                😆 Thanks John!
That’s really kind of Adrian but I need the whole stuff not the bulb holders only (which look a lot like the ones used on my Mini speedo)!
I ‘ll take a photo of what I have got this afternoon so everybody will know what I need 💡

The bulb holders on mine just screw into flaps, cut and bent out of the body.
