I want to fit a Dormobile Roof to a very recent Defender 110. Has anyone got one for sale or advice on how to go about this?
I’m in the International Moving business so I can collect anywhere! I’d also be interested in a set of seats.
    Many thanks,
    P.

This won’t help, but I have recently sold my 110 with a factory fitted roof (and bunks), I had done last year.

Dormobile carried out the work, in Romsley, Hampshire, over a period of three weeks at a cost of a few pence short of £3k.

Lessons learned from this experience are that I would probably get them to fit it to a roof, rather than let them have my complete vehicle, and that the roof wouldn’t have a sun roof in it , and that I would spend some money on getting the headlining completed.

      Hope this helps.

I am sure there are roofs available from members, though.
Have you looked on the Dormobile UK web site?

Be careful with second-hand Dormobile roofs on a recent Defender. Land Rover changed the Defender roof in 2002, so any earlier roof won’t fit, and post 2002 s/h roofs probably make rocking-horse manure look common! I think your best bet would be to get in touch with Dormobile ( http://www.dormobile.co.uk ) They also do a 2-single-bed seat conversion which complies with current legislation.
