Where did you buy it from?
Amazon delayed it once more 👿

I bought it from an Amazon dealer (The Book Depository) rather than Amazon itself.

            Clicky

It worked out slightly cheaper, too!

Same for me so I cancelled my order from Amazon, choose Carl’s option and crossed my fingers. 🙄

                So this book really exists?

Thanks for the tip on the alternative source.

I got mine two days ago from Amazon.

I found the history of Martin Walter and the photos of the factory most interesting. It gives me more patience and empathy when I get frustrated about ill-fitting hand-made parts to see pictures of the people working on the assembly line who actually built my car.

My wife likes the picture of the female models lying on the beds with the cutaway canopy. Nowadays you’d cut and paste the canopy into the photo with a computer; back then, they actually cut away a canopy!

Certainly the Land Rover is one of the best-looking of their conversions ;^) I really like the CA Romany, though!

I think the CA Deauville is much nicer than the Romany (I am biased, though). There’s loads more storage space and it seems better thought out.

Not sure about the “beautifully finished wooden interior” though. It’s varnished plywood, rather than formica.
