changing from a 3 speed to a four speed box

Dear all
having just opened up the three speed box on my 1969ca its not looking to healthy and i thought it would be a good opportunity to change to a four speed box, (if I can find one), has anyone done this before ? if so can give you me some tips on what else needs to be changed and whether its a good idea or not. Also if anyone knows of a 4 speed box anywhere….

Hi if you can get a hold of a 4 speed box you also need to change the steering column
complete with all linkages hope this is of help
