Brilliant, I’ve been thinking of going down the same route. Let me know how you get on with it.

It’s on – had to put the linkage from the old carb and file out the centre so it would fit on the new spindle. Needed to find an ignition feed for the idle solenoid as well. Other than that, easy to install. Starts ok, runs and idles ok. Will give it a road test end of the week.

Interesting stuff Russell. Is this a 34 ICH/ ICT weber? Did you have to change the jetting at all? I’ve seen a lot of these on ebay for the old Series landys, do you know if these will have the bedford running right or are they jetted differently?

Yes, its a Weber 34ICH
The information I have is that one that fits a Pinto 1.6 (Capri, Cortina, Sierra) has the jetting close enough for a CA.
I think you would have to re-jet one from a Landy – There is one on ebay at the moment, see my last post.
I am road testing it on Saturday for it’s re-test – It failed on a brake pipe this year.

Cheers for that Russell. Molly is up for her MOT soon as well. I think I’ll keep my eyes peeled and see if I can snag a cheap one to have a play with. I’m thinking of cleaning up the ports and making a new inlet manifold to try and increase economy.

It does work, and well. The jetting is ok, as the van pulls well, then idles well. (No stink of petrol from worn spindles) or stalling all the time.
