      Hello Everyone,
Now the 1969 Debonare’s running fantastically it’s time to do an oil change. Can anyone confirm that the sump bolt is 1 1/8″? I’ve nothing. That big sobIll need to order one. Also, I’ve been told there’s an access panel in the wheel arch to get at the filter? A quick glance and I can only see mud.

Spill the beans then, how did you get it running in the end ?

Don’t know the size of the sump plug, other than it was the biggest I could find.
Take off passenger wheel to get access to the filter (as you say it should have an access hole)

Use 20/50 oil – anything any thinner disappears too quickly.

I can claim no responsibility for getting the Debonare running properly. That was down to John of St Albans, club member, long term CA owner and gifted mechanic. He could hear a partial misfire and it took him hardly any time to work out that the drive gear in the distributor had been put back together wrong so the distributor was 180 degrees out. It now runs like a dream even if it does steer like a boat. I’ve been driving it to work every day and it’s great to have it running well after 6 months. Amazed that my local garage couldn’t work it out!
