    Hi all,
I say now available, but only if I can get 10 firm orders. The cost of moulding to complete a van is £100 which will include coloured piping (most colours are available but there may be a small surcharge for non stocked colours).

This moulding is lipped, which is the section used to overlay the fibreglass panels. On the doors and front wings you would need to file off this lip.

The photo shows approximate measurements I have made but the new moulding will be created from the original drawings from the supplier.

AN EARLY RESPONSE IS NECESSARY TO GET THIS MOVING.

Any questions or comments are welcome.

    Regards
    Jim

Hi Dave Thanks for your interest.I now have 3 orders ,7 more needed.I will try an add on Ebay this weekend. All I want to do on this is break even , so if more than 10 are sold there may be a rebate for club members .This will cost me around £1000 plus the cost of the filler strip.Any remaining stock will be scrapped so all those thinking about it may miss out

      Dear Jim,
I am sorry but don’t think it’s a clever idea.
I make a survey on the CA Dormobiles on sell on Ebay and there are about 1 or 2 a month in need of restoring, moreover, the moulding can also be used on others CA, eg. Workobus. So someone buying one next year will surely be interested in buying a complete set or just 1 or 2 meters.
May be it would be interesting to get in touch with a company such as Woolies that can be of some help for the funds and then would be able to stock the parts for some time for future owners.

      Hi Phil
My supplier has contacted other companies , that he supplies ,includig trim suppliers ,caravan restorers etc and has no takers. This would have shared my cost.
If you want to stump up £1000 plus i will buy a set off you.

Two options, one would be to contact Dormobile Ltd and see if they are interested. The other would be to put an ad in the club magazine to see if any club members want this moulding.

The Club magazine is being finished this weekend, so please act fast and e-mail me on sec@dormobile.org.uk with a suitable advert.

      Regards
      John 🙂
