Hi all,
I have been completely stripping the engine in Bitsy (our 65 CA Dormobile Romany Deauville), the Cylinder head is away having its unleaded conversion done and the main block is currently being rebored for oversized pistons. (and to think it was only the waterpump going wrong that started this all off!) Anyway, I was taking photos everytime i removed another part of the engine, whilst trying to follow an old battered Workshop manual. unfortunately I have managed to loose the camera at a wedding and I hadn’t downloaded the photos!
So has anyone else done a full engine rebuild and has a similar collection of photos that could help? failing that, this my apology in advance because there is going to be a lot of questions coming this way!

Ohh dear, you didn’t want to do that did you 🙁
Stu, sorry to hear you lost your camera, but I know Dave Glanfield has rebuilt his engine, and I’m sure he’ll be only too pleased to answer any of your questions. Good luck. 😀
HI ST U I HAVE A WORKSHOP MANUAL IF YOU WONT ONE . I STRIPPED MY ENGINE DOWN AND THAN DECIDED IT WAS EASIER TO LET MY LOCALE ENGINEER REBUILD IT FOR ME AS THEY CUD SORES PARTS EASIER THAN ME AND I WAS IN NO RUSH TO GET IT BACK . JUST LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED HELP DAVE 😕 😕
hey Dave,
How much did the rebuild cost you? I am confident that I can do it but if the price is right and hey they will have a lot more experience than me!

hi stu for the full engine rebuild with the head converted to unleaded petrol .i got my engine back fully built for £600.00 hope this helps dave
Phewww, Panic over, the camera had crept into a side pocket of the bag! So I have now backed up all the photos! I’m sure there will be some questions but hopefully it should all go back together.
That’s not a bad price for the rebuild but I really want to give it a go, the shop is doing the bottom end rebuild, so I will take my time and get everything right.
which reminds me, has anyone seen a bedford CA Oil pump, ideally a new “old stock”. It will save me a rebuild.
