Hi Paul & John,

Thanks very much for your replies, that’s good advice. I’d probably want to find an insurer that could cover over 3,000 miles as I’m thinking about an overland trip, but I’ll have a hunt around amongst classic car insurers and see what’s out there.

I’m looking to find a Dormobile in fairly good condition. I don’t have much in the way of mechanical experience and much as I’d like to give it a go I don’t have the time or space at the moment for a restoration job. Basically, I’m after something that would be fairly reliable – I’m only just getting an idea of what a Dormobile might cost.
