    are there any known off road ‘green lane’ routes to take when going that way?

    I have been told so. They are tracks up to ski lodges. I do not know any definate routes at present, but know people who do. When it gets a bit closer to the trip, I will be chasing them up.

    Do you think she will make it up the Alps?
