Hi
I would love to join you and any other Series 11 club members at Bannegon, but am off with my better half to ClubMed on the 21st September, so not this year.
I changed over to 16×235 radial TracEdge from 16×7.50 Mudplugga crossply tyres on my SWB and they are great, far less pitching and a softer ride (still pretty harsh by Eurobox standards though).
However will be fitting radial 16×7.50 Avon Rangemaster to RU to replace the cracked original crossplies as they look good, more traditional than TracEdge (good as though those are) and handle far better in the wet than crossplies.
The new Dormobile which I hope to pick up this week, is on good original 16×7.50 Avon crossplies and I will not be changing these as unlikely to be
travelling more than 200 miles from home and the old fashioned “thrum” noise they make, compared to modern tyres, is wonderful, especially with the vents and windows open and makes the slow speeds attained worthwhile.
Kind regards
Paul
