And this is the 1966 Dormobile bought last Thursday from Graham & Shiela
Came with all the extras promised, full years MOT, original dormobile bolted roofrack & rear tent, new bike rack, green bible, original owners manual & 24 years of bills, MOT’s & history.
Also came with an unwanted optional extra, courtesy of Grahams’s neighbour who 45 minutes before I arrived on Thursday to pay the balance and pick up, reversed her 4×4 hard into the nearside front wing.
Graham is dealing with that claim so hopefully soon all will be straightened out..
I am off to a sailing championship in this as yet unnamed Dormobile (Graham hadn’t named her either during the 24 years of his ownership) at the end of next week and then to the Series II club international weekend in mid-August.
It is great to have a Land Rover that for the first time ever is road ready rather than a “project” so plan on keeping it until RU is on the road and in a year or so’s time will sell as I can’t afford to run two (or can I?).
Even better, Mo (my better half) thinks it is “sweet” and (in front of witnesses) has said she will camp out in it for the night of the sailing awards on Friday next week.
