I would have described mine as one that had a fresh MOT and service but needed work to bring up to standard.
The £1500 mark is about right, I paid less but stated that value to the insurance, reason being that mine was written off recently in an accident (lots of GRP flying about the place!)
They offered me a pathetic £500!
