The vehicle is a 1972 VW Bay.
I thought that might be the only solution but (forgive the ignorance) don’t you have to replace the rivits and, if so, how do you do that? Maybe one could replace them with something else that will be easier to remove/replace in the future.
This is my son’s van and we are doing it up together. Unfortunately, I’m not sure that I’m proving to be much help, but learning all the time!
